Hi everyone, this is Pilar from the Security Team. Will be happy if somebody figures out something useful. I tried contact 1password support 30 hours ago (even with an address for urgent cases) but still I didn’t get a reply. I have no idea how somebody could get access to my account and hope that it’s impossible to brute-force password and Master key. The e-mail I use for 1password isn’t in any of breaches on haveibeenpwned site.I have a unique strong password for 1password account. No payments on Revolut card, which is saved even with CVV.There is no evidence of activity on any of my accounts. My recovery kit with Master key was saved in 1Password vault (and of course printed). That's why I blocked my credit cards stored in 1password and started changing passwords for most vulnerable accounts where I haven’t 2-step authentication. But like I said, the possible attacker had about 5 hours of access to my account. When I realized it, I immediately deauthorize new device in account management, change the password and regenerated Master key. When I saw the e-mail the first time, I thought that it’s phishing but everything seems legit – header of e-mail signed by 1password and correct link to 1password page. Unfortunately, it happened in the middle of night, so I found it after 5 hours. Yesterday I got an e-mail about new login to my account on from Safari browser and South Carolina (I live in the Czech Republic).
